December Daily 2014_Cover and Day 01

Hi everyone, here again.
I wanted to share today, (to make it completely disorganized), the cover and the first page of my December Daily.
December always meant to me something warm by the fireplace... and heater in case I did not have it haha so, the strips of yarn to make the cover page worked out perfect for this album!
The wire words I made up also gave it the touch of colour I was looking for...

White foam for the numbers, perfect match!

I wanted to keep simple the album. I prefer spending time thinking of subtle touches to embellish the album that making it over done. Plus I do not have lots of time to decorate it!

The fabric of the background made the picture perfect frame!

White over black... luv it!

 More to come soon!
Enjoy!

December Daily_Day 02 and 03

It has a long while since I have written something on my blog... sad, I know. It was supposed to be a nice project for 2014 but then I lost track of so many things that I ended up working randomly on what I felt like on that specific moment...
This is it. It is over, I really need to plan for this New Year the routine of posting. So, I did, and took the last pages I am working on from my December Daily. Day 2 & the beginning of Day 3.

I really like the look of a minimalist layout so I approached this year (my first, I must add) trying to simplifying and let the photos talk for themselves with not so many details, "touchy" details instead :)

These feathers from a local store where perfect to highlight the colour of the picture.

On this one I just wanted to use white embossing powder but forgot that my pad is tinted in light pink so, it did not come out as nice as I imagined. In the end, it did not turned out that bad though.

White Cameo cut sentences on a beautiful white cardstock is the best! And the wooden number 3 from Studio Calico just completes the layout.

Babi's Project Life - Week 08

On this layout, the date appears as a feature at the bottom of the layout, 'joining' the fabulous pictures of Babi before a shower.

Still, red and pink are the choice for the palette on this layout. No embellishment wanted here. Just because :)

Babi's Project Life - Week 07

On this layout, I had lots of pictures but I did not want another insert again so, I filled in all the pockets with pictures and typed down the journaling on the upper ones right on top of the white t-shirt of my baby. I thought it was a very nice and convenient place to put it :)

The wooden heart filled with flower shapes made me put some more spread on different pictures to match the theme of it.
I felt like another red heart so, once the page flipped, it will overlap with the wooden one. Nice image in the end :)

Babi's Project Life - Week 06

I wanted to try something different on this layout. The right side was going to be printed in colour and with her mainly and the left side in black and white with some pictures of me and her.

I found little bunnies in my stash so, I decided to use it around some pictures to achieve some consistency on the layout.

The use of pink and green of the first pictures on the right side of the layout were my constant for the journaling.

As usual, hope you like it! C

Babi's Project Life - Week 05

This week's Project Life is about 3 colours. I am in love with the stripped baby grow of the pictures so, I based the rest of my layout on it. The insert follows this scheme as well.

I also printed the rest of the pictures in black and white as to highlight the ones where she is wearing this cute baby grow.

Hope you like it. Enjoy! C

Twopeas March Moodboard

the following project is the scrapbook layout I mentioned on my previous post and based on the march moodboard from twopeas.

I used mainly the palette of greens as the background with an ombre technique.

I wanted to use cards with a distress technique as for the vintage look on the board. i used them to write the title down and 'complete' it with the last card which is the picture/subject of the layout.

i wanted the layout simple with not too many embellishments as the cards covered almost the whole cardstock. I stitched a frame to continue the composition of square lines and 'broke' the continuity with a half heart. One little wooden heart inside that half shape, one 'love' stamp and 3 petit butterflies in a bluish colour to complete the board palette, and the layout.
Enjoy!
